Suffering is caused by resisting what is. We don’t suffer because of something external to us, we suffer because we are in resistance to that external thing. If we let go of the resistance, and move into acceptance, suffering falls away. Once we recognize our resistance we can chose to let it go or keep it. Suffering then, becomes a choice.

What you resist, persists. Just be present and observe. Take action from a place of acceptance of what is and things are free to change.
